About this Event

We will be hosting a free, hands-on, two-day Software Carpentry workshop at Willis Library on February 4 & 5, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Software Carpentry aims to help researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching basic research computing skills. In this hands-on workshop, attendees will learn concepts and tools, including program design, version control, data management, and task automation using Python programming language, the UNIX shell, and Git. The event is open to students, faculty, staff, and the general public.

Participation in the workshop is free, but space is limited, so please register online to secure your ticket. Please share this event with groups, lists, and individuals who you think may be interested in attending!
