We will be hosting a free, hands-on, two-day Software Carpentry workshop at Willis Library on November 11 & 12, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Software Carpentry aims to help researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic research computing skills. In this hands-on workshop, attendees will learn concepts and tools, including program design, version control, data management, and task automation using R programming language, the UNIX shell, and Git. The event is open to students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
