Buffalo, N.Y.)
Ceramic souvenir bowl from the 1901 Pan-American Exposition, held in Buffalo, New York from May 1 to November 1, 1901.
Shaped as a six-pointed star, the blue-glazed bowl features a view of the Electric Tower, one of the most prominent landmarks of the fair.
The sides of the bowl are an openwork design simulating weaving. The whole is glazed dark blue, with some mottling, and the rim is gilt.
The reverse is unmarked. Anonymous gift to the Rare Book & Texana Collection, November 2006.
