Rare Book and Texana Collections

 Edible Book Festival.

The Edible Book Festival is a yearly event held on April 1 throughout the world from 2-4 p.m. The edible books are exhibited at 2:00. We will take a people's choice vote for the 'best artistic concept,' serve drinks, and the books will be consumed around 3 in the afternoon. After everyone has sampled the different works, we will then vote on 'best tasting book.'

The event will be held in the Rare Book Room on the fourth floor of the UNT Libraries. The event will cost $2.00 for those who have an entry and $5.00 for those who do not have an entry.
All materials MUST be EDIBLE. Also, no open flames may be used in the Rare Book Room.

If you plan on making an edible book for the festival, please contact Jennifer Sheehan or Edward Hoyenski at 565-2769. Just let us know that you plan on having an entry. If you already know what you will be making, or at least the 'title' of your culinary work of art, let us know so we can have name plates ready for the event.

Everyone is welcome; this event is not just for university related personnel.
