Doug Shaffer, SHRP Implementation Coordinator at the Transportation Research Board (TRB) has returned to Colorado, where he is now working for private industry. His duties at TRB will be taken over by loaned staffers.
At the Federal
Highway Administration (FHWA), Jim Sorenson has moved from the Pavement
Division to the Highway Operations Division in the Office of Engineering.
Tom Harman, formerly in the Office of Technology Applications (OTA), is now with the Special Projects and Engineering Division in the Office of Engineering R&D at FHWA’s Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center. He replaces Ray Bonaquist, who has joined private industry.
Margie Sheriff, who has been helping to coordinate SHRP implementation activities for OTA, is on sabbatical while attending a 1-year master’s degree program at the University of Maryland.
John Bukowski will be moving from OTA to the Pavement Division this month assuming the position vacated by Jim Sorenson.
