SHRP Implementation CalendarThe following events are in support of products and technologies
developed under the Strategic Highway Research Program. Asphalt Mix Design and Analysis Course This course focuses on asphalt mixture performance testing, including use of the Superpave shear tester and the indirect tensile tester. Superpave volumetric mix design is also summarized. The course includes both classroom discussion and demonstration testing in the laboratory. Contact: Larry Santucci at the University of California-Berkeley Pavement Research Center, 510-231-9428 (fax: 510-231-9589). Superpave Binder Course Designed for laboratory technicians and managers, this course is sponsored by Purdue University. The course will include use of the bending beam rheometer, dynamic shear rheometer, and rotational viscometer. Contact: Nona Schaler at Purdue University, 765-494-2756 (toll free: 800-359-2968, x. 92N; fax: 765-494-0567; email: njschaler@cea.purdue.edu) or Rebecca McDaniel at the North Central Superpave Center, 765-463-2317 (fax: 765-497-2402; email: rsmcdani@ecn.purdue.edu; Web: ce.ecn.purdue.edu/˜spave/). Basics of Constructing Superpave Pavements This seminar covers the production, placement, and compaction of Superpave pavements.
