Event: Doc Spot Film Series: How to Survive a Plague
About this Event
The Doc Spot Film Series is presented by the UNT Media Library and features thought-provoking and timely documentaries.
How to Survive a Plague tells the story of the grassroots movement of activists from two coalitions, ACT UP and TAG (Treatment Action Group), who seized upon scientific research to help develop drugs that turned HIV from a mostly fatal infection to a manageable disease.
This semester the series is being co-sponsored by the UNT Libraries Special Collections division, and each screening will take place in the Willis Library Forum (Room 140) at noon. Attendees are encouraged to bring lunch.
For more information on these series and individual documentary film screenings, contact the UNT Media Library at 940-565-5480.
